Since 1997, attorney Joel Peterson has been finding legal and business solutions for his clients throughout the Inland Empire, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Joel is a graduate of Pacific Union College, located in the Napa Valley, with two bachelor degrees - business administration and international communications. Following graduation, he was employed as an Underwriting Specialist in the Risk Management Department of the world headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church where he also handled international liability claims and worked with lawyers to handle a variety of legal issues.  In 1991, he moved to the Inland Empire when he accepted a job in the Risk Management Department for Loma Linda University Medical Center ("LLUMC"). 

After graduating law school from Western State College of Law, in 1997 he was hired by the Redlands' law firm of Ziprick, Schilt, Heinrich and Cramer, LLUMC's general counsel. In 2003 he practiced law as an attorney in Riverside County and the Palm Springs area with the litigation firm of Slovak, Baron and Empey. Then in 2005, Joel started his own law firm in Redlands and Colton, where he currently practices as an attorney handling employment, business and immigration law matters. 

Joel is an adjunct professor at California Preparatory College where he teaches business law and communication courses.  He has served on the board of the Redlands Chamber of Commerce and was the President of the Chamber for the year 2004.

Joel is also involved with his church where he leads out in providing a free legal clinic once a month. He and his wife Judy have a son, Cameron, and daughter, Cassandra.

While Joel has significant experience in his practice specialties,  being a sole practitioner, Joel has found that his clients are at times best served if he uses his wide network of attorneys and practitioners for assistance should questions arise or if additional legal services are needed - this enables the firm to provide the same level of service as firms with multiple attorneys on staff.
